Aims and objectives:

To support international students who wish to study for degrees at the University of Cambridge. Today, the Trust is the largest provider of funding for international students at Cambridge, working with partners worldwide to support students of outstanding academic merit under a variety of scholarship schemes.

Main activities:

In each of the last three academic years the Cambridge Trust has awarded scholarships to around 200 students from Commonwealth countries.

Awards in 2014 were made to students from Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Ghana, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saint Lucia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

In the course of the Trust’s 30-year history it has given awards to students from every country in the Commonwealth, totaling more than 9,000 scholarships.

The Trust also supports the CU Commonwealth Society in welcoming new students from the Commonwealth to Cambridge.
