Education in Zimbabwe Conference, London, 22 July 2010

Hon. Senator David Coltart, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture, addresses the first day of the Education in Zimbabwe conference hosted by Link Community Development, the Commonwealth Consortium for Education and the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa. Following the Minister’s address, representatives from the World Bank, DFID and the Zimbabwean Ministry of Education provide an overview of current international assistance to education in Zimbabwe. The conference focussed on the revitalisation of the education sector in Zimbabwe and was attended by delegates from over 50 international organisations, NGOs, teachers’ unions, and diaspora groups.
