Designated by the UN, World Youth Skills Day is celebrated every year on 15 July. It focuses on the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, entrepreneurship and decent work. The day focuses on the important role played by skilled youth in addressing current and future global challenges.

The day seeks to generate greater awareness of and discussion on the importance of technical, vocational education, and training (TVET) and the development of other skills relevant to both local and global economies.
