DESCRIPTION:Globally Grassroots: Connecting the International Museum Community is a one-day workshop hosted by the Commonwealth Association of Museums in partnership with the Manitoba Museum\, Winnipeg\, Canada. In-person and online via Zoom. \nThe event will bring together museum professionals both in-person and online to explore connections across borders and the themes that unite the postcolonial museum. Session themes include climate change & climate justice\, Indigenous-led heritage initiatives\, and repatriation and the care of human remains. \nSpeakers from across the Commonwealth will share best practices to kick off roundtable discussions where participants will have the opportunity to share and learn together.
